概要	The purpose of this review is to examine the desires of parents regarding support at the time of notification of congenital abnormalities during the perinatal period.　A literature search from 1992 to 2012 was carried out, and articles were retrieved from search results under criteria including the topic of notification to parents of fetuses and infants.　Sixteen papers in Japanese were found. They indicated that support which parents desired for notification during the perinatal period was the following four things: 1) participants in the initial notification were a mother and a father, 2) intelligible explanation for parents, 3) emotional support, and 4) information about upbringing, rehabilitation, and peer supports.　These four supports may help to improve parental satisfaction with the notification process and enhance parents’ coping abilities.
